Krystina grew up with the dream of becoming a veterinarian one day as most everyone who loves animals does. After moving to Texas though, she discovered that she could do more for the veterinary industry on the business side. While working as an Animal Care Officer, she pursued her MBA in Business Management and then took a position at a busy hybrid animal hospital as their Marketing Manager.

Krystina joined the Vet2Pet team in 2019, bringing nearly a decade of experience in the animal industry. As Marketing Operations, she is primarily responsible for managing and enhancing client communications.

She spends her free time training and competing her dogs, reading, writing, and bike riding with friends and family.

FUN FACT: Krystina had her first short story published when she was in high school and is currently writing her first novel.

Shawna was born and raised in southwest Iowa and worked in a veterinary clinic throughout high school and college. She earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in both Animal Science & Industry and Agricultural Communications & Journalism from Kansas State University in 2009. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Colorado and managed a busy animal hospital for over six years.

Shawna believes that maximizing practice efficiency and communication has a direct and positive impact on quality patient care, and she couldn’t be happier to be working with the Vet2Pet team! Shawna helps practice leaders leverage the Vet2Pet app to ensure maximum engagement from their clients and staff. She shares three crazy, beautiful dogs with her husband and loves to mountain bike, snowboard, cook, travel, and listen to live music.

FUN FACT: Shawna rode her bike across the entire state of Iowa in 7 days as a participant in RAGBRAI (The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa) with absolutely no training — and probably won’t do that again (the no training part)!

Caitlin grew up as a “mutt”, moving around every few years across Delaware, Virginia, Wisconsin, and North Carolina, as her father changed territories with his pharmaceutical sales job. She knew she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps in sales, but her true passion has always been for animals and animal health. She planted her feet in North Carolina and studied Health Communication Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Caitlin has had multiple pets throughout her life including cats, dogs and horses. Today she has two fur kids, a rescue pit bull named Paisley and a horse named Juno. Her love for the veterinary industry has led her from working in a veterinary practice in college, to working in sales for a veterinary distributor for 10 years, to now finding her perfect fit with Vet2Pet.

In her spare time you can find her at the Pilates studio, riding her horse, or hiking in NC with Paisley.

Fun fact: Caitlin’s love for all creatures runs deep. In elementary school she once saved a crawfish from a neighborhood cookout and released it in a local creek.

After being born as an orphan kitten, humans rescued me from a filthy garbage can. Being raised and bottle fed by a veterinary technician during my development gave me the kind of determination I needed to become a Master App Ninja instructor.

I enjoy using technology to make humans better.

Personal interests include: warm milk, technology, zukins, kneading bread, loyalty programs, apps, inspiring humans, catching the little red dot.
