Dr. Stacee Santi is the CEO and founder of Vet2Pet App Builders, where she developed a strategy to connect with clients and improve patient care through the development of a personalized custom app for veterinary practices.
Stacee earned her DVM from Colorado State University in 1996. With over 20 years of clinical experience in small animal and emergency practice, Stacee brings an “in-the-trenches” approach to innovation and solutions for veterinary teams. She has served as a medical advisory consultant for NVA for 5 years, medical director for a general/ER AAHA-accredited practice in Colorado and is currently President of the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association, as well as Chairperson for their Telehealth Task Force. Stacee is regarded as a key opinion leader on mobile applications and veterinary reward programs.
FUN FACT: Stacee is the former roller-skating champion of New Mexico.
Krystina grew up with the dream of becoming a veterinarian one day as most everyone who loves animals does. After moving to Texas though, she discovered that she could do more for the veterinary industry on the business side. While working as an Animal Care Officer, she pursued her MBA in Business Management and then took a position at a busy hybrid animal hospital as their Marketing Manager.
Krystina joined the Vet2Pet team in 2019, bringing nearly a decade of experience in the animal industry. As Marketing Operations, she is primarily responsible for managing and enhancing client communications.
She spends her free time training and competing her dogs, reading, writing, and bike riding with friends and family.
FUN FACT: Krystina had her first short story published when she was in high school and is currently writing her first novel.
Shawna was born and raised in southwest Iowa and worked in a veterinary clinic throughout high school and college. She earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in both Animal Science & Industry and Agricultural Communications & Journalism from Kansas State University in 2009. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Colorado and managed a busy animal hospital for over six years.
Shawna believes that maximizing practice efficiency and communication has a direct and positive impact on quality patient care, and she couldn’t be happier to be working with the Vet2Pet team! Shawna helps practice leaders leverage the Vet2Pet app to ensure maximum engagement from their clients and staff. She shares three crazy, beautiful dogs with her husband and loves to mountain bike, snowboard, cook, travel, and listen to live music.
FUN FACT: Shawna rode her bike across the entire state of Iowa in 7 days as a participant in RAGBRAI (The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa) with absolutely no training — and probably won’t do that again (the no training part)!
Karyn is a CVPM who started her veterinary industry career in 2002 at Riverview Animal Hospital in Durango, CO as a kennel tech, and by 2011 had worked her way up to hospital manager. She earned her CVPM designation in 2016.
Karyn assisted with the development and launch of the mobile app in 2010 and has been an indispensable member of the team ever since! As Director of Product, Karyn provides technical support to practices and app users, works closely with the developer team to coordinate new app releases, feature updates and improvements, and ensures that Vet2Pet’s technology remains a cutting-edge solution for veterinary practices and their clients.
In her spare time, you can find Karyn playing with her two kids. She shares her home with two dogs and a cat and is an avid Denver Broncos fan and astronomer.
FUN FACT: Karyn was a contestant in the Miss Colorado American Princess pageant at 7 years of age!
Kodie has always had a huge love for animals and when she was young, she wanted to be a veterinarian. She worked in both human and veterinary healthcare for over 15 years. Part of her experience included working at a pediatrician office for 8 years, where her love for children grew like her love for animals. Kodie joined Vet2Pet in 2016 to help support our growing team and enjoys helping out in all departments. Truly, she is passionate about helping and caring for humans and animals in all aspects of her life! When not working, you’ll find Kodie with her husband Anthony, her son AJ and her 3 doggies Honey, Bella and newest addition Missy!
Fun Fact: Kodie is a Rottweiler lover, she has owned 3 Rotties and will always be a Rottie mama!
Jade is a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has always had a love for animals but knew she wanted to pursue a career in the industry after she was able to rehabilitate her dog Tubbs back to walking following a spinal injury. Her career in the veterinary industry began in 2013, initially as an assistant and then she passed her boards to become an RVT. She also worked as a Marketing Manager for a veterinary clinic in Louisville, KY and it was in that role that she was introduced to Vet2Pet when the practice signed up for the app. Jade quickly jumped on the opportunity to join the team and we’re so glad she did!
As the Onboarding Specialist, she is your Apple “guru” and strives to make the beginning of your app-building journey a breeze. She lives in Kentucky and shares her home with her husband, her son Jaxon, and two dogs, pug/lab mix Tubbs and German Shepherd Sig.
Fun Fact: She is an avid music lover and has seen over 50 artists in concert.
Katelyn was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has always had a passion for creativity and design. Since earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in advertising design and graphic design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Katelyn has worked for a number of large corporations, growing into a visionary leader and gaining a great deal of design business knowledge.
Katelyn is extremely passionate about building brands, developing visual systems, and creating thoughtful design through print and digital space. She believes that great design is discovered through strategic thinking and innovative ideas, and should be executed with purpose to meet the unique needs of both clients and consumers.
Currently living in the beautiful state of Colorado with her Bernese Mountain Dog, Katelyn enjoys time in the mountains, traveling, cooking, and time with family and friends.
Originally from Springfield, Illinois, Sarah and her family relocated to Colorado when she was 5 years old. While earning her bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Colorado Denver, Sarah applied for an editorial internship at Denver’s 5280 Magazine, where she was published in print for the first time. After graduating, Sarah accepted a position as a marketing copywriter for the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), beginning her career in the veterinary industry.
Sarah worked for AAHA for nearly 5 years, and then moved on to a veterinary marketing firm before starting her company, Rumpus Writing and Editing, in 2016. Today, Rumpus has a team of nine veterinary writers, editors, and content specialists, and has created both pet owner- and industry-facing content for more than 25 industry clients, including organizations and individual practices.
When she isn’t working, Sarah enjoys traveling and being active with her husband, three children, two dogs (Karl with a K and Winnie the doo), and one cat (Leo the canine kitty).
FUN FACT: When Sarah was in third grade, she wrote, illustrated, laminated, and bound a “book” about her summer vacation. She finished her “About the Author” page with, “Sarah loves writing and animals.”
Now, she’s a writer and editor in the animal health industry.
Growing up Sam always had a variety of pets in the house—dogs, cats, gerbils, fish, frogs and snakes. Her childhood dream was to become a marine biologist or a herpetologist, but life had a different plan! She graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. Before joining the Vet2Pet team she managed operations and logistics for various events across the country. She also worked for the Alaskan Department of Fish and Game as a technician collecting biological data on salmon migration.
As CRM Data Manager, Sam oversees, manages and coordinates in-house operations, events and a variety of customer engagement activities as well as helping the team with convention and travel logistics. She spends her free time camping, traveling, hiking and snuggling with her pup Chunk Norris.
FUN FACT: Sam has traveled through 46 of 50 states. She still has to get to Alabama, Hawaii, Mississippi, North Dakota.
Dr. Crista Wallis graduated from Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She co-owns and operates Monticello Animal Hospital in Shawnee, KS, specializing in small animal and exotic animal medicine. She is very excited to join the Vet2Pet team as Telemedicine Coach and brings a great deal of expertise and experience to help our clients on their telemedicine journey. She loves her profession and helping others in the community with the connection to pets. Crista believes that if you put your best self out into the universe, a ripple effect of positive energy will touch all those around you!
FUN FACT: She loves to dance and is a certified Zumba instructor as well as a novice salsa dancer. She also comes from a family of long-time dirt-track racers, although she never got bit with the dirt-track racing bug herself!
Staci has been integrally involved in veterinary medicine since 1990. After getting her start in shelter medicine, she progressed to a long career as a certified veterinary technician and practice manager. Eventually, she left general practice to join a well-known pet insurance company as their veterinary services manager—a position she held for 10 years. Most recently, Staci worked as an area business manager for a group of startup multi-site veterinary hospitals. She achieved her CVPM designation in 2017. Thanks to her broad experience in practice and industry, Staci understands the unique customer service and practice management needs of veterinary hospitals. She is truly ecstatic to be part of the Vet2Pet team!
In her spare time, Staci loves spending time with her family. As newer transplants to beautiful North Carolina, and as empty nesters with two amazing adult children, Staci and her husband enjoy exploring the Carolina brewery scene, and hiking with their two dogs. Their sweet kitty, Jersey, is currently content having the house to himself, as their new rescue puppy is apparently part Tasmanian Devil (the DNA test results are pending!).
FUN FACT: Staci met her husband at a Grateful Dead concert in 1989, and they have been together, loving live music events and making sure their children appreciate good music, ever since!
Linda is a passionate B2B marketer with experience across various industries, who fell in love with the veterinary industry when she started consulting with our friends at VetSuccess in 2014.
Linda has worked as a marketing consultant to Vet2Pet since 2015, developing and building the Vet2Pet brand identity, messaging and positioning. She is thrilled to dedicate more time and energy to working with our team and is responsible for maintaining and evolving the Vet2Pet brand, overall marketing strategy, and all of our client-facing communications.
In her spare time, Linda’s favorite activity is spending time with her family. She also enjoys cooking and entertaining, wine sampling, reading, is a dedicated yogi (who is also committed to her hardcore gym workouts) and an avid traveler.
FUN FACT: Linda is the first and only Canadian member of our team, residing just outside of Toronto Canada.
